Pride by the People
In 2025, we built a pride by the people and for the people, and it was magical!
Because of it, thousands of 2SLGBTQ+ Oklahomans and allies gathered in Oklahoma City’s front yard, Scissortail Park, to celebrate Pride in a space that was joyful, visible, and explicitly affirming.
Pride by the People is back again, and you can join the magic of it!
For 5 years, we’ve been able to bring to you one of the best festivals Oklahoma has to offer, and it’s Queer and free! Oklahoma PrideFest has been a shining light for Queer Joy and Visibility in our state which is a special type of advocacy. Pride saves lives. Pride uplifts and empowers. Pride instills hope. It’s time to remember that Pride is not defined by corporations, but by the collective power and spirit of our community. By coming together, we can send a powerful message that our community is strong, resourceful, and unyielding in our commitment to celebrating our identities and advocating for our rights. Pride by the People. Together, we will ensure that the light of PrideFest continues to shine brightly in Oklahoma, illuminating the path towards a more just and equitable future for all.
Pride By The People is our fundraising campaign, and this year, we’re on a mission to reach our goal: $100,000 in donations to fuel the vibrant celebration that is Oklahoma PrideFest! But this isn’t just about throwing a party; it’s about something much deeper. We’re building a movement, a community-driven force of pride, by the people and for the people of Oklahoma.
For too long, Pride celebrations have sometimes been overshadowed by corporate interests, where rainbow logos appear for a month and then fade away, often without genuine support for the lived experiences of queer individuals. At Oklahoma Pride Alliance, we are committed to fostering a Pride that resonates authentically within our community, powered by the passion and generosity of individuals who truly care.
Every single dollar you donate directly fuels the heart and soul of Oklahoma PrideFest. Your contribution will help us create a more inclusive, empowering, and unforgettable experience for everyone. We brought it to life last year and we will do it again. Your dollars will help us bring:
